SelectRect Issue

I’m having an issue with the SelectRect brush. When I select part of a subtool (with six divisions) in order to delete the hidden portion, an Abnormal Termination popup will invariably appear and ZBrush shuts down. I even saved and opened it as a subtool, and the problem still occurs.

I’m using Zr8 on a Dell XPS 9000 with an Intel Core i7 CPU and 16.0 GB of RAM.

Any solutions would be welcome. Thank you.

After an exhaustive research on the net regarding my above post (inadvertently posted here ZBrushCore Questions), the best resolution I was able to come up with was to rebuild the corrupted subtools’ by reprojecting new low-poly meshes over the original high-poly meshes.
