Selecting zspheres

Hiya,

I just started using zspheres and at the start everything was cool, but now something must have happened, maybe I clicked a keyboard key and activate something. I’ve googled for 3 days before starting this thread.

I can’t seem to only select the zpshere, but the children gets selected as well. Picture attached:

Now, where do I deactivate this? I only want to select the zspehere and not the entire arm.

If only you’d spent that time reading the docs that come with the software. There are several modes such as move, rotate and scale as well as edit mode and zsketch. Your screen grab didn’t post.

You’d think a simple google: “zbrush selecting zspheres” would do it these days. :wink:

I can see your screenshot (link), but it might be more helpful if it showed the entire UI. As well as writing which steps you are taking when you select a zsphere

Hey, I’m sorry if my messages seem weirdly posted, but they have to be approved before being posted, as I’m sure you know.

Sorry for the big res, I kept it that way to ensure no text were distorted.

I’ve read through anything that mentions zspheres in the Docs, but no mention to how to disable this kind of selection. I’ve tried setting the draw size to 1 but that does nothing. I read somewhere else that someone tried it for something different but not too different.

I see zsketch rather than armature . When creating the armature be sure you have the other option.

This can happen when you ‘Ctrl+click’ on a blank part of the canvas while a ZSphere is selected. To clear it, ‘Ctrl+LMB+drag’ once on an empty part of the canvas.
