Select without activating Zmodeler

EDIT: I Think I figured it out. It was because I had select lasso instead of select rectangle. Select lasso activates the zmodeler funtions.

Though why it would do that is beyond me.

This is driving me crazy.

I go to select a polygroup my holding down Ctrl + Shift and it gives me the select tool

But when I click on a polygroup it removes a polyloop or a single poly like as if I had zmodeler brush.

But I don’t have the zmodeler brush even active. My current brush is Standard brush.

Why does the selection model sometimes act like Zmodeler? And how do I stop it?

Hi @crcjewelry,

You are correct. This is something that can happen if you have the selection lasso selected, and only click on the mesh rather than actually lassoing something. Using the normal selection marquee will avoid this. This has nothing to do with ZModeler.

Thank you!

@Spyndel

Thank you for the confirmation.

I guess I just thought it was zmodeler because it was showing actions for edges, faces, and points, but that makes sense that the select lasso would be able to grab thought 3 control types as well.
