seeking sculpting advice to smooth an extruded edge

hi guys,

i have a bump in the side of my model that i want to get rid of. its tricky because the edge is perfectly extruded, and as soon as i start playing around in there it becomes quite visible.

is there a brush or function that can smooth by adapting and following the surface?

what brushes (or combinations of brushes) would you use to get rid of this bump

Can’t you just trim it off? Smooth peaks might help but it’s a long shot. If your mesh isn’t too dense maybe you could just move the points back into line.

You could mask off the areas you don’t want to be affected and then smooth it out.
