I wanted to see if there was any noticeable difference between exporting and displacing my level1 mesh and exporting and displacing the original base mesh stored as a morph. The morph in Maya has visible seams. I tried exporting various versions of the displacement map with different UV map border settings but no change.
I’m using 32bit, 3 color exr displacement maps with adaptive and smoothuv on. I’ve also tried changing the uv smoothing in Maya with no change.
The level1 exported mesh renders fine with no seams and I didn’t have to tweak any settings.
I tried searching to see if this was a known issue but I didn’t find anything. I apologize if it is, but I’d like to know what I may be doing wrong.
