Seam

Hi guys

This might be a very stupid question, but can anybody give me a few suggestions as to how to make the seam on my attached image disappear (or less obvious)? When I did the control painting with UV master plugin I assigned the seam to be underfoot, but that caused the flattened UVMap to look very, very strange and difficult to work with in photoshop when assigning my texture…

Any help would be greatly appreciated

Thank you so much

There’s really not much help that can be provided without more information. You haven’t shown the UV mapping, explained where the details are coming from or anything like that. So it’s pretty hard to suggest ways to get rid of the problem.

Thanks, Here’s some more details: It is a dinosaur leg, that i unwrapped with UVmaster, created a tiled texture in Photoshop, assigned texture to model, all went fine, the ONLY hiccup I am left with is a very visible seam…(some more pics attached) Screen shot 2010-10-17 at 12.47.04.jpg

I don’t see a seam in your mesh. I see one that was cause from sculpting…the long thin line that runs vertically along the leg, but I don’t see any painting that would cause a seam.

Can you show your map applied to the object at the lowest subD level?
