Hi,
I’m a newbie in Zbrush and am working in the trial version of Zbrush 3.1 at the moment. I have made a model of a fish in Sculptris, exported it as .obj, imported into Zbrush and polypainted on it, and then create a texture for it. Like in this tutorial(http://www.pixologic.com/docs/index.php/Tutorial:_Using_Colorized_Spray). When I follow this method, I come up with a texture just like the one shown in the tutorial in the end, a row of square colored boxes. Then I have exported this texture as a .tiff. However when I try and place this texture on my fish obj in xsi or blender, it seems to come up with nothing but a row of square boxes, not like a proper UV texture map (with the fins of a different color and head of different color etc). Most tutorials I have looked at already have a UV map on their model before importing into Zbrush - I don’t have this and so have used the tutorial above to do so.
I’m not sure what I’m missing, can someone please help? I basically want to know what’s the best workflow to use for modelling things in Sculptris and then polypainting in Zbrush, exporting the texture as a UV map and then to importing the obj into another software, and laying the texture on top of it.
Please help!
Thanks
