Sculpting Reel 2008 by Selwy (nudity)

really amazing works! Very very inspiring!

Excellent work! Really wonderful sculpts! :+1:

Hi, thanks again for all the amazing comments. I’m really glad that you like my work. To be honest it seems that you guys like it much more than I do : )

3David – Thank you very much! You are only 15 years old and already very talented! Big things to come for you, keep on rocking! LY – Thank you! animastur – Thank you! iatriki – Thank you! I’m a huge fan of your work. The way you render your sculpts is great. The face expression of your characters is really haunting. Lucky_1 – Thank you hal8999 – Thank you, I love the Blade Runner soundtrack. It opens my mind and sounds somehow like “open space” (I don’t know how to describe this expression in English) tez – Thank you! Bryan Wynia – Thank you very much! Your work is absolutely amazing! You possess powerful sculpting skills. The work on your website is mind blowing (when I compare my work with yours I feel kinda small) Rodion vlasov – Thank you! It is amazing to see how you getting better and better from sculpting session to sculpting session. We can really learn a lot from your passion and endurance. monteford2002 – Thank you! I exported a lowres mesh out of ZBrush. From that lowres mesh I created also normal and displacement maps (Zmapper and DisplacementExporter) I have only applied a Normal Bump in the bump map slot of a Vray material in 3ds max. In that map (it has two slots, Normal map + Additional Bump) I placed the normal map in the normal map slot and the displacement map (the map that you will usually use for displacement) in the additional bump slot… (damn, that sounds complicated….) I wouldn’t do that in production but for that project it worked fine. Good displacement takes hours to render on my workstation. Maybe I will publish a short tutorial someday. Captain Sensible – Thank you! FabioPaiva – Thank you! What you say means a lot to me. I would say my work is rather the result of focus than talent. Deamon3d – Thank you! In fact it’s Ripley with a vacuum cleaner :) JuanVal – Thank you and enjoy the free model aho_cn – Thank you! himygoddess – Thank you! Kaiyongman – Thank you! Kupo – Once again, Thank you very much! Please let me know when your website goes online (I’m never ever better than you :) ) Goldenry – Thank you, I saw you modeling reel on 3dtotal! Very very good work! Your feeling for form and your anatomy knowledge are great! Very well presented, great textures, great camera moves, great lighting! AndreHolzmeister – Thank you! jobesu – Thank you!

Wow! All very wonderful work and I’m old enough to recognize these characters.

Absolutely amazing works!

Really nice work. Great attention to detail.

Very strong style and very good personality on your characters. Great stuff.
I can’t wait to see more from you.

-Kris

Very Good.
In some Renderings a bit to much DOF for me.
5 Stars from me.

Stargo

Oh,man … Very good work…5 stars …

really very beautiful work … awesome modeling

Once again, thanks to everyone for the great comments! That makes me happy

Jason Belec – Thank you! MaxAlbert - Thank you! Roganski - Thank you! Antropus – Thank you very much Kris! Jakyll – Thank you! Your website is totally crazy :) TezZy - Thank you! piz - Thank you! DEEZY44 – Thank you very much! The accessories of the first model are made in ZBrush, the other stuff is made in 3dsMax, fast and simple poly modeling (I sculpted the clothes in ZBrush as well) Sculpting hands and feet is like sculpting the head. Try to reduce everything to its basic form; cubes, cylinders… and sculpt from big forms down to the small one and keep their relation to each other in mind. Stargo - Thank you! 3dmaya - Thank you! nightwoodwolf - Thank you! Just clicking through your portfolio. Amazing stuff! That’s all. Now it’s definitely time to start something new. As I already mentioned, I hope to find the time to start a sketchbook thread. Thanks and all the best Selwy

Hey Selwy, would you happen to have more views of Ripley? Preferably of her nude and in a turnaround?

Awesome!
