Cool stuff! One question. What was your rendering workflow? Displacements? Normal maps? did you use crazy bump at all? Also on a side note, your characters seem somewhat inspired by the tv series “Mama’s Family” from the 80’s (with the curly grandma hair and the guy looks like her son).
