Sculpting problem

Hi all

I have been working on a sword model...

I have been brushing a pattern on the front side of it!

The problem is, is that the geometry also appears inverted on the back side.

It seems like it is pulling the back when I sculpt the front.

I tried masking it on the back, but my mask shows up on the front
side as well. Due to a lack of great distance between the front
and the back faces?

Is it possible to sculpt on the front side without affecting the rear at all? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

in 3.1 you can’t do a Zsub this way
3.12 you can

you will probably have to mask one side first, then sculpt
you can also hide the backside of the geo as well
