Sculpting in Dynamesh vs SDiv levels...AND...Dynameshing an SDiv extracted surface.

Hi, still a noob so don’t mind if my questions are stupid.
I know the advantages of using Dynamesh while sculpting, but I was wondering if there is a difference to brush strokes etc when sculpting in a Dynameshed surface VS sculpting in an SDiv level geometry? Like… do your brushes work better in a Dynamesh surface vs SDiv level geometry? For some reason, after sculpting on an SDiv level geometry, I started getting very jagged lines and brush strokes seemed to lose their effect. I was working on a 2 million+ geometry.

Second question: I had extracted part of an ornamental surface on an SDiv level geometry I was working on. I then tried to Dynamesh this extracted surface hoping it would clean up the jagged lines and uneven surfaces, but I seem to end up with a dynamesh surface with many tiny holes scattered all over the surface. What would be causing it and what option in Dynamesh will get rid off all the holes?

thanks

Dynamesh redistributes the polygons evenly. Subdividing and not using Dynamesh can result in stretched areas of polys, and there you might get some jaggies.
