Sculpting a dynaMesh became really slow and instable

Hello, i have trouble with my sculpt from time to time. It seems that when I sculpt a dynamesh, after a while it became really hard and slow to continue sculpting, sometimes with weird display (see pic)
I don’t change the resolution, h=just re dynamesh with projection on

Without quiting my session, If I take any polymesh, ztool, older version with same polycount… it works fine, if I quit ZB and reload that Ztool it slows down again…,!!!

With or without dynamesh active, each stroke on the mesh with any brush display the line "subdividing geometry on the lest corner of the screen’ (under alpha menu; like if ZB was calculating over and over.
I need to export an obj and reproject on a new one to solve the problem(sometime)

I have use various zb version over the last 10 years and never had this problem before!?

Thanks for your answer

Check that you haven’t turned on Dynamic Subdivision (Tool>Geometry>Dynamic Subdiv>Dynamic) by mistake. Having that turned on while also have classic subdivisions really slows down ZBrush.

Yes, thanks you, that solve my problem.

Still have to find why this dynamic subdiv activate itself from time to time

I’m thread-dredging, but just to say Thanks to Marcus. This was exactly my issue - I knew something was awry when it was struggling on only 300k points…normally 5E6 gives no problem. Turn off dynamic sub-divs and life returns to normal. The forums work.
