Well I would say that Ryan actually deserves to have his butt kissed:D
That said I’m hanging at the back of the line.
Superb - already bookmarked - hard work greatly appreciated

fantastic work ryan! cast my eye over a couple of the videos and its a great place to touch up on things i really should already know. anyway! the wall tutorial was great and i remember struggling with hardbody sculpts. i might add that a great way of putting crusty bullet holes in walls is the blob tool on a high focus with the alt function a hard circular motion on your wacom is a great way to make wonderful holes in this great wall (thanks to nickZ and ryan) then with the faithful slash2 give it some cracks and hey pesto! thanks again! definately have this bookmarked!
great as always , thanks ryan
Another installment in the Artist’s Series has gone up at ZBrushCentral.
In this tutorial I sculpt short slightly curly hair combed forward. We focus on the basics of the Clay Tubes brush and the Slash2 brush.
Click here to go to Sculpt. Paint. Create.
Next in our series we will look at sculpting braids.

perfect timing, I’m working on hair just today!
thanks Ryan!!
Excellent! As always

Very cool to have a blog about ZBrush. Loving the entries and the videos that are up already but I hope you add some abstract thoughts on ZBrush. Videos, however cool and informative they are, make for a dictatorial style of communication. Please keep them coming but perhaps intersperse them with entries about upcoming art exhibitions (and why you find them relevant), your personal desire to see a specific effect created in ZBrush and your attempts to create it, your thoughts on modeling particularly difficult areas of the human body (references and all :)), highlighting the work of an artist (current or past), etc.
What I am getting at is a half page of text would be welcomed by me with an equal amount of enthusiasm as a video on modeling the ear would, as long as it contained a point, and the point reflected on the functions of ZBrush. Some food for thought, abstract or subject, as long as it relates to ZBrush, would be very nice.
Keep up the great work Looking forward to whatever may come later.
TV Eyes - Great to hear from you. Thanks for your thoughts. I will bear them in mind. No one likes a dictator!
r
ryankingslien,
Those are super tutorials!!!
These teaching is very helpful for users! Thank you. In addition, I would like to ask a question. Please look at the following link. You should think of how to make this Skin effects, usually, if I use drag alpha to the model,I find that deal with the texture falloff area is more difficult ——Texture overlap or texture attenuation, it is easy to see the Artificial effect, I would like to listen to your recommendations, sorry my poor English.

Thanks for the great videos!
Some really cool techniques I’d like to try out.
As I’ve said many times Ryan, it is a joy watching you work. The blog is a cool idea as well.
Hello. I have another tutorial in the Artist’s Series: Sculpting Hair. This tutorial shows you a very quick way to sculpt a braid and a quick look at the mechanics of a braid.
The next movie will show you how to use InsertMesh and Transpose to add and pose the braid with the DemoHead_Female.

I’d just like to say ‘thanks’ for putting these out there, Ryan!
You are to be commended (even if it’s company-encouraged, I’m
still quite thankful).
Kind regards,

This Sunday I got to watch Kris Kosta’s presentation of Digital Sculpting at the Gnomon Live event.
It was a great presentation that reached back into the history of sculpting and covered everything from his technical to his intellectual approach to digital art.

Man, I really wish Gnomon would televise their ZBrush events. I would love to have seen Kris’s presentation in its entirety. Did anyone happen to film this event?
Thanks!
ryan, you are so awesome for doing this, you do tuts so well.
howdy Ryan,
just checking in to see if you’re still intending to update the braids videos
with the final two installments…(I keep checking the blog-page in anticipation
to see if I missed 'em)
kind regards,
WailingMonkey
I am planning on it. I am working on some movies to support Transpose Master and will return to it right after that.
Thanks for asking.
Ryan
