Sculpt outside of cup w/out affecting inside?

I want to sculpt the outside of a thin walled cup, but I keep messing up the inside of the cup as well.

I want to mask and/or hide the inside wall’s polys but I can’t figure out how to isolate them with accidentally selecting polys from the other side of the wall.

It’s one mesh, but the wall is a cylindrical solid with an inside and an outside.

brush>backfacemasking (turn on)

can’t use Zsub if you’re on 3.1 unless you change the setting to a -100 (then you can’t use Zadd…but you get the idea.

Just what I was hoping for. Works great. Thank you!
