Scared Silly Entry by Ralf Stumpf

so far…from the wip’s i’ve seen for the halloween contest…this one is going to win. good luck ralph! (excellent work as always)

:+1: :+1: :+1: :+1: :+1:

All very wonderful work. Stumpf - you are keeping us all very cleverly on tenderhooks here; we have seen so many great characters and bits and pieces but none of us knows how it’s all going to fit together. And the landscape just adds to the curiosity. I suspect it’ll all come together in a grand finale and we’ll all be bowled over backwards. Until then… :+1:

“The Landscape”

What thu… Like Dondemaker said, you know it will be brilliant, but how… Leaving us mortals to ponder how this would fit. The edge of my chair sees a lot of my bum at the moment.

Hello again and thanks for your comments.

For the questions, I build not a complete landscape it is more like a set with the
right decoration in the right place. I render the parts in ZBrush as multi-pass
(seven to twenty different renders, mostly screen grabs with custom MatCaps)
and compose it with different layer settings in PS.
Here are some props more.
Hope you like it.

Cheers

Ralf Stumpf

I really think that your Illustration will be Fantastic Ralph! The single pieces are cool and I can’t wait for the final composition! :+1:

Your work is very inspirational, and extremely well crafted. Best luck on your final submition!

wow this is really cool

This is so original! I also love this one!
This truly feels silly! I cannot wait to see your final. It’s cute, too!!
I’m not sure I’ve been more confused in my life trying to choose a favorite. So many talented people on this forum.

Very inspirational.

Good luck!

This is one of those images that you know is going to blow socks off. I can’t wait to see the end result.

Not only are you a master of ZBrush, but you’re a master of presentation as well. Each piece is great, and I’m sure the end result wil not disappoint!

Great work Ralf! Good luck and a happy Halloween to you! :+1:

man, you’re just so unbelieveably talented—i just can’t get over this one. it is obviously going to conjure up images of the nightmare before christmas, but that’s not a bad thing at all! your sculpting/modeling craftsmanship is absolutely second to none. i can easily see this as a short animation…or feature film for that matter. much respect!!

Great work!
You are a master and an inspiration to many of us!
:+1: :+1: :+1:

Beautiful Work. Thank’s go to you for taking part in this contest and making yet another great contribution to ZBC. Good luck and Happy Hallowen!

incredible work, that is amazing.

Stumpf,

Definitely another Stumpf classic, really enjoy this entry among many of the others you guys put a tons of effort… I hope others will realize all the effort put into each piece as well as how each entry followed the rules of the contest to make determinations for the potential winners.

Very sweet composition, well executed theme!! My only lil issue is… the placement and look of the worm in regards to the motion displayed in this image. Doesn’t seem to fit the dynamics going on with the rest of the main characters in the theme where he is placed in the scene. That said, great work as usual!! :+1: :+1:

(edited for the P.S.)

P.S. Is the worm coming out of a hole in the skull? If so hrmm guess wasn’t to obvious to me but been giving this one second looks. Still think it could use some elements of motion to it. If not the body blowing some what in motion at least some small subtle ones with the antennae and mouth tendrils swaying.

MASTER MONSTER Mr Ralf, only can say PRECIOSO! (Is really like “lovely + pretty” in spsnish)

Great work, great style, super great art work and really good presentation… Congratulations Monster Toy Master Maker!!
