Scaling a ztl. and detail loss.

Due to some unforeseen error I had to scale my ztl up several times its size. Ever since Ive done this ive had detail loss moving up and down subdivision levels within zbrush. Meaning: If i sculpt some detail on level 5, move down to level 1, back to 5. The initial sculpting level 5 detail will be lost. Furthermore a type of faceting shows its face all over the model.

Why is scale such an issue with zbrush! :frowning:

One thing you can do is to take your original mesh pre-scaled and export out the hi rez as an obj. Scale it up in whatever 3rd party 3d app you use and export it back to zbrush. When you reimport to zb do a reconstruct subdivision levels. Not perfect, but it sometimes works for me in a pinch.
