Sand Castle (#Update 3, Final - 121 Welcome)

 great castle and a nice choice of materials and textures, This would look nice as a mural for a childs room :+1: :+1: :+1:

Very nice castle :+1: :+1: :+1:

Here’s the latest update. First, I readjusted the noise levels of the send. Next, I added more details to the roofs of the sandcastle by creating a “shingle alpha” and used stencil with the wrap mode. I then added the bucket and shovel and then the hermit crab. I then added the pebbles. I took a few chunks out of the sandcastle here and there as well as added in some more detail to the background. I adjusted the lighting to better reflect how it would interact with the environment.

This will be another one, I’ll want to re-render when the new version of ZBrush comes out.

As usual, 121 always welcome.

Your update really added a lot to the image. I like the Hermit Crab.
Good job. :ex: :ex:

Wow, your update is great :+1: :+1:

Beautiful, W/O! This is now a wonder, and I’m glad this is a ‘compare with the new render engine’ choice for you!
:+1: :+1: :+1: :sunglasses: :+1: :+1: :+1:

This is awesome. The details in the sand are the best, especially the path to the front door. It looks just like a finger dragged through wet sand and that pink shell is just right the way it’s sitting in the sand

P.S. For 121 purposes- maybe the pebbles in the sand on the left side are too evenly spaced out, needs to be more random.

oh ya that looks better. id say this one is done.

WoW this is a beautiful image… . The detailing on it is amazing.

Wow, Great update!! Excellent!!
(Thank you for the bucket and shovel  )

I like pebbles and sand ground.
Especially, under hermit crab foot.
Quite real!!

Next, I’d like to see this in other time situation.
(High noon, sunset evening, moon and starly night)

Thanks

Talk about “sand art”! This came out great, I love the way the sand looks and how you gave those little sea creatures a place to play
I hope that tied isn’t coming in real soon!!

Excellent update mate, all you need now is the big soggy mutt that invariably runs right over the top of it! :+1: :+1: :+1: :+1: :+1:

Thanks for the feedback. Kaz-g, your suggestion sounds like an interesting lighting exercise. I’ll have to try it out sometime.

I’m looking forward to see it

Thanks.

The sand on the update looks terrific. I like the sand piling up on the crab foot.

The details in this picture are especially good, such as the marks in the sand made by the crab.

Here’s the final (I think). I made the pebbles on the left a bit more random looking, added some more sand on the shells and fixed up the material for the windows since they looked too smooth. I also made the edges of the windows less sharp using the blur brush with ZAdd on and also adjusted the edges of the windows a little bit with the simple brush to make them look more like they were made with someone’s finger. Some build-up of sand was put in near the bottom edges of the castle using the 3d brush and then blended with combinations of the blur brush and glow brush.

Awesome. This is one of my favorites!
