Here’s someone who is satisfied with his job and his sword! A few slight problems that have already been mentioned. So, if I were you I’d be very proud of this work! Keep us up with All of your works 8D.
Interesting how the skin and the poors in the skin are kinda layered in there. Could you explain how you achieved that effect? Is that some special brush that paints over depth?
Lookin really, really good.
Love the amount of detail in there. Incredible.
Skin looking very good to me.
hyper1, DarkFire, thanks a lot.
fnote, I used SimpleBrush, DirectionalBrush with alphas for pores and PaintBrush and DecoBrush for wrinkles.
Well, I receive questions about render process and I think I should post this info here.
I used ZBrush render. First I rendered samurai himself using best render (with Shadows, Soft Z, Soft RGB enabled). Render time of the canvas at its maximum resolution (4096x4096) was less than 2 hours (pretty fast, I think). To increase contrast and for slight color correction I used Adjustments submenu. Background was rendered separately. I used point light in this case and render time increased (3,5 hours).
Besides I rendered several passes (ambient occlusion, color, shadow, specular) and grabbed zdepth information. Then I began experimenting with all that passes in Photoshop.
Congrats for your top row, man.
Goood work
All is made in Z?
Thank you, ilusiondigital!
I used ZBrush, Photoshop, Illustrator.
