SAMAEL ( THE LAST WEAPON OF GOD )





I remember when we first started working on this character, we were both so happy with how smoothly and naturally everything was coming together. This wasn’t just a simple collaboration; it was a true meeting of two minds that shared the same source of inspiration for their art. I think ( Camill Cartet ) is an absolutely incredible artist. The first time she showed me her sketchbooks, I was captivated by her unique way of thinking. I knew right then that we could create something flawless together. When it was time to paint the character, I felt like someone just like me was able to fully bring the character to life in her mind. She could actually see it playing its role an ability that only certain minds can achieve after a long time of working and creating art. Samael was the name she chose for our character, and it ultimately became my inspiration for creating the designs on Samael’s skin. I think this character, as our second collaboration, really proved that by blending minds and ideas, you get the best possible result .




In Talmudic texts and ancient lore, Samael is recognized as an archangel, the guardian angel of Esau, and the patron of the sinful empire of Rome. But beyond these titles, he is the executor of God’s will, commanded to bring about destruction, judgment, and death. In mysticism and mythology, unlike other fallen angels, Samael doesn’t act as a force outside of divine will or as a manifestation of absolute evil. Instead, he is the agent of God’s wrath and the angel of death, operating strictly under divine orders to enforce balance, deliver severe trials, and reclaim souls.
