Hello it’s been a while since the last post.
This guy is done for my demoreel mostly by using zbrush.
Inspired a lot by Japanese Yokai and Oni.
Hope you like it:)

He came out well.

That demon looks awesome. Are those rendered in Zbrush? If so what matcap/process is used. If not, can anyone point to or tell me the process :D.

that is a sick sculpt man…wow…really love it!

You’ve got skill  I love this sculpts :+1:small_orange_diamond:+1:small_orange_diamond:+1:

Derek Frenzo-thanks. glad you like it.

hey_warren-thanks! i used mentalray for maya and followed this tutorial http://www.zbrushcentral.com/showthread.php?t=83524

Nice works… nice render :+1:small_orange_diamond:+1:small_orange_diamond:+1: you have skills

His toes look like they’re floating above the ground, not like he has a lot of weight pressing them down. Try making them flatter on the bottom and I think it will look like he has some serious bulk to him.
Like these:
Hulk Feet

I really dig him man, its a nice sculpt. But he doesn’t scream elderly to me. It just looks like a giant leaning on his club you know? If his skin was more saggy in areas and his face was more heavily wrinkled it might help. Also maybe not having him be so ripped would help. He just looks young you know? Not bashing the work man, i dig it. Just my 2 cents!

thanks for the link Ryo. I was looking for that.

Great work! I realy like the wrinkles and texture work.
But He doesn´t look giant…his porpotions and all details look like human size.
Maybe adding small details, or fixing the wood texture can add more sense of scale.

skaal- thanks im glad!

Clintus Maximus- hey thanks for the great feedback! i even thought he is too muscular for the elder and feeling doubt about the title. ill create another elder character and remember what u just said:)

hey_warren- no problems. enjoy the result!

fabio brasilien- thanks man. yea i know what u mean…when i started i didnt really think what this guy was going to be and kinda just put random name. ill put more thought and think of the context of the character next time. thanks again!

Wonderful piece Ryo! Congrats man! 5* :+1: :+1: :+1: :+1: :+1:

That centaur is just awesome. Very nice work, especially on the face and pose.

I’d love to hear about the technique you used for the hair, this type of hair always turns out not quite as good as I want it to.

great work :+1: … you got talent … love your work

Great Reel. Giant, 8 hrs… impressive…

Love the centaur, nice lighting as well, how do you start off something like that?

Your Demoreel is amazing. :+1:small_orange_diamond:+1:small_orange_diamond:+1:small_orange_diamond:+1:small_orange_diamond:+1:
