Hey Ryan, I tried sending you a PM but I got the following message:

I also visited your site and was unable to find your email. So, I will call you tomorrow between 5-6 p.m (your time).
good luck with the workshop ryan! i am coming to gnomon this coming spring, (i have no idea if you have heard about this at all) but pam hogarth went to my school (springfield college in MA) ive met her on a few occasions. but 2 of my classmates and i are doing a sort of semester abroad there in winter/spring of 09 that we have set up with gnomon. i am amazingly excitied about it. i hope you have some workshops while i am there!
Thanks guys! Looking forward to the class this Friday.
I uploaded the course outline for people to check out. It should be a fun time. The first day is all ZBrush stuff. There is a ton of things to cover and I am not 100% sure will get it all done but weāll try!
Day 2 and 3 use a live model named Quante who is very muscular. The first day he will take a default pose and be available for people to study form and structure. We will have little spot lectures on the anatomy and structure of the model. We will also each have an Artist Model from Freedom of Teach to help us get our anatomy right.
Day 3, Quante will take a pose. We will then pose our models and get busy with resculpting it to match.
Iām excited!
Sculpting Workshop Course Outline
Ryan
Hello. Its been a while since I posted much here. I have been pretty busy with some other things but as always sculpting, sculpting, sculpting in my free time. I thought I would share a bit of it with everyone.
Thankyou for the share Ryan, glad to here the sculpting workshop went very well.
A new work in progress. This one is of Thor. More images will be forthcoming.

awesome stuff Ryan - great feeling of movement in that one!
Looks like a nice strong āHow To Draw Comics The Marvel Wayā pose in the tradition of John Buscema. Wish the full-figure shot was bigger, though. Itās hard to see the little details at that small size. The boots look real good, but the front of the foot doesnāt look solidly planted from the side view.
wow i really like that thor model!!! keep it up!
More in-progess images. Here is a close up of the torso and helmut:
Here is a close up of one wing. There is more work to do but this shows the feathers that were used to build the wing. The design is Sideshows here. Fantastic job on the sculpt Sideshow!
I used Slash 2 for the feathers. Very easy to do once you get into the groove of it, so to speak.
Ryan
looking awesome Ryan! really great

Hi Ryan, this is realy good art you have done here. I realy like how you have been direct in the anatomy of Thor, alot can be learnt from this.
m-in: thanks.
tez: cool. glad you like. still more to do on the anatomy but the the goal was to simplify and amplify.
So, now his hammer. not sure about the gouges. its Thorās hammer after all. I will tweak them later as i have time.

Hammer handle was done with slash 2.
For a good time try texturing with these settings:
Blob brush
Z Intensity = 3
Alpha 22 or Alpha 23 ( I really like 23)
Spray Stroke
Plus lots of polys
Best,
Ryan
