Hello everyone;

I purchased my copy of ZBrush several months ago but hadn’t had any time to create anything with it until now. Lot’s of learning to still do but I’ve learned a great deal already from the many talented people on this forum. Hope you like him.

Base model in 3dsmax. Sculpting, texturing and displacement in ZBrush. Lighting and rendering with VRay 1.45.70 using global illumination and traditional lighting techniques. Composite in Photoshop.

By the way, I tried uploading the image so as to get a thumbnail version but it exceeds the attachment file limit. Is there any way to generate a thumbnail with linked images?

Love the pic…very kewl work. How did you do the hair??? Whatever technique you used, it worked like a charm. Very good render.

Great model! Looks like a pastor or funeral director keepin an eye on the trouble makers!:smiley:

Love your plugins too!

Yep, hair looks amazing! Great works.

Nothing beats ZBrush for playing when creating superb characters like yours.
:+1:

Cool character the hair looks nice. Would it be possible for a screenshot of the tool/settings you used for the hair?

Hey guys;

Thanks for the compliments. :slight_smile:

The hair is from a photo composite of my father’s hair. All done is Photoshop.

My second character has been created with ZSpheres instead of exporting a mesh from 3dsmax as I did for this character. Very interesting, using ZSpheres. I should have that one ready soon.

Best regards,
-Richard

Fabuloso y muy divertido. ¿Cómo hiciste el pelo?:+1:

Heya Rich, good to see ya around these parts. Can you show us the base mesh? I’m getting into Zbrush heavily myself recently :slight_smile:

Hey Tito!

Good to hear from ya as well - yeah, ZBrush is DEFINITELY very cool. It’s the way I’ve always wanted to model - with more creatively oriented tools rather than technical ones. And of course, the outstanding quality of work on this forum proves it.

I had some initial problems getting the displacement to work in VRay, even after reading through the BIG renderer thread, but finally got the settings right.

I’ll try to post a wireframe of the mesh model this evening if there’s more people interested in seeing it.

How about you, have you done anything with ZB yet? If you have some posts, I’d love to see them…

-Rich

Hey rosenman! incredible work. It´s very interesting what we can do integrating some 2d e 3d softwares…when we check out the hair taken from a picture. perfect!:idea:
nice, nice, nice!!!

Gus

I like your works man… GREAT

I’m actually delving into it now, I can’t believe I glossed over it all these years, the app is insanely fun! I’ll post my first project with it soon. Like you I’m using an imported mesh to detail, so let’s see what happens! :slight_smile:
