yes fifth element bot is what i thought of too when I saw it, but I would say that it is different enough to call it your own, for sure! just the face is really simular. But wow this thing is really cool, i love it. I am wondering how your are texturing and materializing? is it all in projection master?
I’m quite interested in the workflow. Are you using a lot of edge creasing to “keep” the edges of the surfaces crisp? (and/or grouping to keep smooth and rounded what you want and what you dont want,etc.) I really like to dig on how to do non-organic modeling with ZB, and it’s out there. just not as prevelant, so it’s always nice to pick someones brain who is actively working along those “lines” (cough, pun intended)
The Texturing is done via ProjectionMaster, below are some examples of texturestamps i used (watch out for Kris Kostas Video tut if u dont know how
[http://pixologic.com/zbrush/class/artaction.html]). After Stamping in the main colors/details, allot of clonebrushing has been done to fix seams/edges.
Sli_fallen, ur right with the creases, in the pic below im triyin to show u some (hope they are visible). Another way to get edges, i used allot on my moddel, is to mask parts and inflate them, hope this helps.

Did you tryed to enable color bump? With few intensity, it could add mor iddregilaity to the metal due to its use…
yeah, i tried that before, but it gave me to much bump on the metall/ not enough bump on the rusty areas, so i gonna paint a bump map soon.
QUESTION: is there a way of viewing my color texture while painting on a new one for bump???

hmmm try ummm in tool>texture…try turning colorize on and hitting the tex>col button. I don’t know if it will show the exact texture or just the colors…but perhaps it will be good enuf for what ya need.
Thanks aminuts, tryed that before, the effect on my moddel is good enough to see where i have to paint in my bump. But the Problem is: if i start a new texture, for painting my bump, it covers my colors on the moddel. Another problem,the bumpviewer material overwrites the color infos, but i need to see both colors nd bump the same time. Is it possible? Any suggestions?

oh…why not clone the texture? that way your original can remain as is for your color map but be able to use the clone for the bump and as a guide?
