very realistic bust you have there on the girls,

maibe the eyes are too big, i don’t know, meibe it’s just me rs.

keep the good work !

cheers,

haven’t been near zbrush for so long so with R2 coming out I figured I’d dive back in…

here’s my first foray into Dynamesh…i love dynamesh so so much…making and using basemeshes were the bane of my zbrush existence…so the freedom to just create now is really great…

this is about 3 hours work…most of that time was spent figuring stuff out and some trial and error…i started from a sphere

001.jpg

a little bit of a dynamesh update

went off on a bit of a tangent and ended up with a different player than originally intended…lol…i’ll still do the other one though…

what can i say i’d just watched all 4 seasons of Breaking Bad in 2 weeks and was bored…lol…might take it a bit further when i get a chance…he needs some glasses…

bit of an update on Walt.

  • pushed and pulled his head around till i was happier with the shape…pretty happy with it now
  • added some glasses…still have to finish modeling them though
  • lost the goatee for now…

Your Bryan Cranston is spot on. Excellent!

@EricShawn: thanks

more progress on walt

did some more refining and brought it into max to render in vray. The skin here is pretty much all default settings (VrayFastSSS2 material, skin (pink) preset),only things i changed were:

  • prepass rate to 0
  • scatter radius to 0.9
  • trace reflections to On
  • changed the SSS colour to a lighter skin colour (i will be painting textures for it though)
  • added a normal map

there’s also a VrayDisplacementMod modifier on the mesh…its the first time i’ve gotten the vray displacement to properly work so I’m quite pleased. It’s lit with 2 Vray lights and no GI at all.

i’ll see what i can do about a goatee and some skin colouring tomorrow…

looking good…nice render…the ears might look a little white, but the resemblence is definitely there!

@captain_popo: thanks, i agree about the ears…i think with a bit more colour and a backlight they should be okay…

so here’s the first pass at colour, still need to add some skin spots on his forehead and such…

i haven’t done the proper hair yet that will come soon but i did photoshop a quick stand-in Walt goatee on and I’m amazed at how it looks…hopefully i can get my digital goatee to come out as well…

That looks just like him!

Spot on likeness!

@Chaaaaaaaalie, Renderluz: thanks

So here’s some hair…just a first pass, can still tweak some things…also haven’t added the skin spots either…but overall I’m really really happy with how this has come out…

I think u should make the strands thinner and add more variation in length and form. Make them a bit curly. It looks great this far. :+1:

sheesh, I did the same thing with the Breaking Bad series a few weeks ago, and his multi-faceted portrayal of Walter made me want to try a sculpt of him as well. I’ve got a lot to learn before I could hit the mark, but I swear, you nailed what I had in mind! lol. Great job not only in likeness, but more importantly, in the mood and feel of his character as he grew darker. Good stuff, man!

Wozers! Looks just like 'em!

I’ve got a new respect for hitting a likeness in sculpting with refference. Tried to do a Liz Taylor sculpt and im failing miserably.

This looks epic - wonderful work!

Looking really good!

not a huge update, tweaked the hair slightly and did a bigger resolution render…the angle is probably what i’ll go with for a final render but i’m going to give him a shirt so the actual render will be a bit longer…

oh, I like his face!! its come out well I think !

AWESOME. Absolutely loving it!!
