lets think about a cylinder (in my case it´s an armor for an upper arm of an low poly basemesh i have divided and sculpted in zbrush) and i want to have a sharp ring going around this cylinder.
like inflating a part of the cylinder, but with sharp edges.
and now think about that i need a few, 20 or more of this rings, with the same distance from each other.
i have attached a image to make clear what i mean.
but in zbrush i have already modelled a organic high poly object (in my example image represented with the inner cylinder) where i need to creat the rings on.
what is the best way to do it?
i think masking is the way?
