Rigging problem..

Hi, I am doing something wrong, can;t figure out what…

I sculpted a model with 5 subdivision levels. I want to move arms, legs, head, ect., so I want to rigg the model with a zsphere skeleton. But after I have done this I loose detail/resolution. I’ll explain what I do;

1.I open the tool (my model) with 5 subdivision levels.
2. I lower the resolution to SDiv 1
3. I select a zsphere
4. In the rigging palette I select ‘Bind Mesh’ and I select my tool/model
5. I make the zsphere skeleton
6. I hit ‘Bind Mesh’ in the rigging palette and move my model.
7. I hit the ‘A’ button and I have my model. But in the low sub division level…

I want to move the model but end up with the high-res sub division results. I tried everything;
setting the ‘Density’ level in Adaptive skin palette to 5. This gives a higher resolution output, but calculated from sub division level 1… So gone are the details.
I tried rigging the model without lowering the subdivision level to 1, but keep it at 5. This is a nightmare, moving the model becomes extremely slow and results are not good.

What am I doing wrong. How can I rigg a tool, model it in low resolution, and end up with the high resolution results.

Thanks!

Have you seen the gabo1991 tutorials on rigging? If not, you might find an answer there. Here are the links.
