Rigging for posing demands too much CPU

Basically I used transpose master for rigging my character, never the less it feel’s almost impossible for me to pose him as when the mesh follows the skeleton it’s causing so much lag that I have to hold it at a position for a while before anything moves, and sometimes when I release my pen from the tablet it will not register quickly enough - because of lag - and shoot my rig in a whole other direction.

I’m just curious - as I haven’t found anything myself - is there a way where I can get rid of the mesh? Or at least make some sort of extreme low mesh instance?

Yes, it can get difficult if your lowest subdivision level mesh is still polygon heavy. One way of reducing the polygon count would be to use the re-topology tools to create new topology for the lowest level. You would then subdivide the mesh before projecting the high resolution details. You wouldn’t necessarily have to do that for all subtools, just enough to get the combined mesh down to something manageable.

Another possibility is to use Decimation Master. This will reduce the polygon count of your model without losing the detail.
