Very nice! The modeling is sweet. IF you worked on the lighting and rendering realism a bit more it would be solid. It needs ambient occlusion and SSS or something.

Nice work, I like how the harbinger creature is coming along. One thing I might add is in the tail. If its got a hand or claw on the end, there would be more bones like in the wrist allowing for movement and strength. Other than that it looks sweet, keep up the awesome work man!

Thanks for the support and pointers everyone. I put a few tweaks on the skin shader and am playing around with lighting.
Kosher- I added ambient occlusion and I think it helped alot, Thanks

As for the jump in quality in my work I really need to thank Alex Alvarez, watching his workflow (gnomonology DVD's) has really helped me out alot, So if your out there Alex- Thanks man! []

Really cool concept and execution. Bravo. The only thing I would change for sure are the back feet. It is quite uncomfortable for him wolking/running especially in a muddy enviroiment.

Thanks for all the encouragement and input guys!
Here (I think) is the final on this little critter. I gave it a slightly darker mood and gave the image more color richness and over all glow, I may get another angle, but I"m pretty happy with this side shot.

great creature.

my only suggestion would be to work on the front face and mouth area more , since that small part of your creature is most crucial(eyes are eager to look for the face first) and only on that part, your creatureā€™s face reminds me H.R. Gigerā€™s ā€œthe alienā€ 's face right now.

not that I have a problem with that but I see what you can do on the rest , you dont need that. you are talented enough to rock out that part .

This thing is really cool and gross. The back is great with the Lava/honey/bug juiceā€¦or whatever it isā€¦ really fires up the imagination. Your colors pallet for the final image is very pleasing too.:+1:
