Retopology Problem

Hi fellow ZBrushers, here comes a newbie brain freeze question.

After spending some time Re topology I decided to take a break so saved out my work as a project file, with the topology ZSpheres showing. When I return to it and try to move some of the ZSpheres to a better position, they dont move but make new ones at the location I drag too… Any help would be appreciated.

Have attached a Pic, hopefully this will explain better.

Hi Wazer,

Try and post bigger images. Us old guy’s don’t see so well anymore.

Do you mean move points on the retopo cage and not ZSpheres?

If you want to move a point on the retopo cage, hold down Ctrl key and click on point to select it then use Move transform to move it.

Thanks Zber2 for your fast response… I did wonder about the image as I had my glasses on when I sent it… my eyes arn’t as good as they used to be 60 years ago…
I have added a new pic to show more clearly… I did as you suggested using the Ctrl key but with the same result. I am still unable to move any points on the cage.
I noticed that my settings for my brush, Focal Shift, Draw Size and also in preferences/Draw/front and back opacity had been set back to Init Settings? I thought that they were automaticly saved when you save as a project file.

I’m assuming you opened up a retopo in process.
Leave edit topo and re-enter it.

If that doesn’t do it. Tool>masking>clear.

You might have a corrupt project file. I have only ever saved as a project file once. Maybe I’ll try using it again when R2 comes out. I just don’t trust saving as a .zpr file yet. I always save as a .ZTL file and that has never let me down.

What you might try is saving it as a ZTool then Init ZBrush then load the ZTool and try it again.

Thanks fellow ZBrushers, beta_channeland and Zber2 this old man will sleep tonight.

Zber2 your final suggestion worked for me, seems the project file was corrupted as after saving as a Tool everything working fine again. Thanks again.
