Hi, when i try to retopology my mesh with x symetry on, one side of the new topology has always flipped normals! Is there a setting wich i have to turn on or off ?
thanks Sticky

pictures? I’ve never seen a mesh be half inverted before.
I haven’t either but I’ll say that when a single object composed of more than one mesh is exported from ZBrush, it often comes over into 3ds Max with some of the mesh’s normals flipped. And vica versa. I wonder if this problem is related?
In Cinema 4D you can “align” the normals to correct them.
3D Max should have the same tool. Provided that you are exporting/importing the .obj between the programs.
Best.
no, it is in zbrush when try to retopologys the mesh! i turn projection on and i click on preview! then the left part of the mesh is flipped!
Yeah, I grasp that part. I was suggesting that ZBrush may be interpreting your symmetrical side as a second mesh and may treat the normals then similarly to when one exports objs that include multiple meshes.
Noticing behavioral patterns in software can help with troubleshooting sometimes. It can give you something more to go on.
