Retopo Tool Issues

Hello,

When I use the retopo tool to create a retopo mesh of my zbrush sculpt, I find that I have to struggle with the tool to get it to work. For example, the tool sometimes merges verts together, produces flipped faces or missing faces, and I have to relocate verts that are too close together in order to make a quad face in that area (if the points are too close, it automatically merges them). Is this normal behavior for this tool? Is this something that will be fixed in the next release?

I love the retopo tool because it is pretty fast, but, right now, it is certainly not very efficient.

Thanks for any help and advice,

flipping faces is most likely due to a 4 sided extrusion. having verts welded together is based on your snap settings. You can change those settings to better suit your needs.

Thanks for the reply goast666. I am only familiar with the Max Strip Length settings in the Topology roll out. Is that what you are referring to, or are there other settings that I am unaware of?

Thanks!

I believe this setting will also effect snapping within Zspheres…it used to anyway.
