Retopo distances are limited?

Hello,

I was using Zbrush 3.5R3 earlier in school, and ran into a problem which my instructor was unable to help me find a solution to.

When trying to edit my topology, the distances I’m able to extend the vertexes to are very limited. This is rather annoying, and is limiting my ability to edit the topology correctly for low-poly meshes.

Is there something I accidentally selected somewhere which would limit the distances they can extend to?

thanks,

Bunnygnu.

Hi there,

make sure the Z intensity is set to maximum and draw size to minimum. Also i developed a habit of pressing Ctrl+shift+a (clear mask) everytime before i start moving points, as somehow they get masked.

Hope that helps

It still seems relatively limited… I unfortunately didn’t do a before/after check to see if it was better, but I’m pretty sure it’s still quite strongly limited…

Weird,

i was playing around a little and wasn’t able to reproduce your problem. Have you tried to do the same thing with a simple Polysphere? Because if it happens also with the Polysphere, i would recommend a reinstall.
