Hi,I would like to know if it’s possible to restore the original symmetry after a mesh had being posed with the transpose tool.
I have imported a mesh with x axis symmetry, sculpted it a bit ,and before starting posing it I have used poseable symmetry to compute the symmetry map, after the mesh was sculpted again.
It’s possible, maybe some zscript does that, to restore the first subdivision level before the posing ?
As Zbrush computed the symmetry map I think the program somewhere has the initial coordinates.
Thanks
I think you can just go to level 1 and import your original mesh again.
It’s not so easier aurick,I have used edge loop function to create some more cross sections,it doesn’t exist outside zbrush the mesh with the same number of points, and my zbrush saving file are all posed.
Btw,it’s not really a problem,I can move the points and recreate boring symmetry pose at first subdivision level.
I have asked, because sometimes I like modelling with mesh allready posed, and I thought to remember having seen here that it was possible, but I don’t remember where.
Btw,thank you for the answer.
For future reference, use a 3D Layer for each new pose. That way your original mesh remains intact and available.
Thanks marcus_civis,sure,it was a mistake.
Btw.thanks for your zscripts.
