Resolved: Strange grey spots

So I’m importing a blend shape over my original geometry of a head… The blend shape is made in maya with a subdiv level 1 version of the sculpt so I lower the original sculpt to level 1 and import the obj of the blend shape over it…

It ALMOST works but there are these strange slightly elevated areas on the head. They cover about half the sculpt and they wont respond to any brushes… Can someone just confirm for me that the only way out is to start the blend shape again… Or tell me some way I might be able to fix it like mirroring the blend shape or something?

sounds like you’re doing it correctly.
are you receiving any errors or messages when you try to import the mesh?
can you show an image of the error that you’re receiving?

The only message I receive is the typology of the mesh has changed. Would you like to transfer bla bla bla haha. Pretty sure that’s normal…

This image is a test I’ve done. The only area I have edited is the chin. As you can see that’s the only area that isn’t discoloured and will allow additional sculpting.

When you import an object into another Tool, Zbrush will automatically mask the areas that were not modified.
This is a good thing…
This allows you to see what has changed so you can edit just the modified areas if needed.
Just clear the mask and you will be good to go…
