Resolution or Bust

Hi guys again.I am still having trouble creating hi resolution pictures using z-brush.I am using paint shop pro 7 to convert my bitmap images into jpg’s.But they are only comming out in 640x 480.I’d like it to be much higher…Am I using the wrong paint program or what.Do I take steps while im using z-brush?A step by step explaination would be nice if anyone has the time.

Thanks

'Morning Drkwarrior . . .

When you first start a new project select, “Document / Modifiers” & change the "Width = & Height = " to what ever size you wish to work in. That’s the first step. When your image is complete, export it to where ever you want to save it. Open Paint Shop Pro & import the saved image. Select “Image / Resize”, select “Actual / Print Size” & set your resolution to “300 dpi”, then set your “Width & Height” in inches, to what ever size you want, set the “Resize Type” to “Bicubic Resample” & choose OK. After a few minutes you’ll see the re-sizing completed & you’ll have a picture that you can print or what ever you want to do with it.

PS: ( The larger the canvas size in ZBrush, the more image information you have to work with in you image editing software. )

Hope this helps some & have a good one . . . Mark.

Thank you

Thanks, Mark. I never knew which resample process to use before.

By the way, drkwarrior, a good strategy when you are creating your scene is to go with a document size that’s at least 50% larger than you plan for your final image to be, and twice if your computer is powerful enough to get away with it. That way, when you resize the image down in Photoshop after completion, you’ll get cleanly antialiased edges.
