Resizing A Texture

I polypainted a ZTool without setting a texture size first, and I think it defaulted at 1K. I want to export a 4K texture map, but when I change the texture size it clears out my polypaint work.

My understanding up till now was that the resolution of your polypaint is only dependent on the pixol resolution of the ZTool. I thought I could export any size texture map from it that I wanted. Now I’m starting to think you have to set the texture size BEFORE you begin painting. I’m not sure though.

Any insite on this? Can I still export a 4K texture, or do I have to start over?

Thanks,
Dustin

Create a blank texture of the desired size. This will not remove the polypaint. Textures take precedence over polypaint in the renderer, so the texture will hide the polypaint. But that paint is still there under the texture. Now press the Col>Txr button to transfer the underlying polypaint to the visible texture.

Thanks, aurick.
