thanks for taking the time to write down your impressions, I’m not really sure what the final “shame” stand for ( due to my lack of english knowledge :o ), is it a shame that the focus of the work is so bizarre that the modeling though of certain quality would not be considered in the right way?

There’s no dual meaning. The combination of the title of the piece along with reinforcement from the bizarre male genitalia and animal head forces a “human” viewer to focus on the genitalia, because inherently human beings know what it is and can relate to it with that knowledge. Focusing on the genitalia based on the style choice and artist given name of the piece means people are NOT focusing on the other 95% of the model where the other 95% of the work on the model was committed and that’s the shame of it.
As far as “standards”…sure I have an opinion. While I believe in an artist’s right to be able to express themselves as they please I also believe that some artists abuse this idea by attempting to offend as many people as humanly possible (like “Piss Christ”) ultimately not to make any kind of artistic contribution, but to draw attention to themselves to compensate for some deficiency (perceived or otherwise) in their real life. I think this image would be considered offensive by 99% of non-artists (women and men) and I think many artists would praise you to your face while considering you some tweaked out sexually repressed pervert behind your back (snickering if you will), but that’s just my opinion.
I don’t know about others, but I did not focus on this - somewhat well rendered - huge d*ck, and I don’t think people would just focus on it without appreciating the rest ; I mean the concept! The idea!

I appreciate your frankness, the great thing about having the opportunity to talk and discuss with people all around the world is that lets you relate with any kind of people, different cultures, religions, habits and so on.
Speaking about the image, I would consider your opinion as a compositional critique for improving my future works since you address a problem of “focus”: leading the eyes of the viewer focusing where I want is one of the main techniques I’m studing right now so hope I could do better in the future.
Speaking about your opinion of what’s behind my image, as I said previously, you’re free to judge, free to think, free of write down you’re opinions.
But I’m free to answer as well.
What exactly offends you in my image? Is the idea to look at a monster with a ***** binded to chains? Just curious, since I cannot get anything offensive in this if you relate the whole idea to the background story I described. And also if u don’t relate the image to anything, I find very hard to be offended, maybe you could be embrassed, you could be disgusted, you could have a lot of emotion…cannot get how you can feel offended.
Secondly, if I have to be very honest, I feel offended by you judging me, a person you never talk to, as a “tweaked out sexually repressed pervert behind your back” just because you have your opinion on a single model I sculpt. C’mon man, you think it’s mature and intelligent to think to have a clear idea of how a person is just by judging a single artwork? Look at my gallery online, do you see a lot of perversion?
Anyway this is just a suggestion to be a bit more carefull while judging people in general, maybe you’re right, maybe you’re not but try to have some concrete reason to think something of someone.
Besides that…it’s just a 3d model :rolleyes:

Well, it’s obvious that over the last couple of years with the advancement in digital sculpting and the amazing influx of sculpting talent it’s increasingly difficult for one to distinguish himself/herself within the modeling community. It’s very difficult to see what the “Next Level” will be and it’s quite possible that people, in lieu of what they feel to be “Appropriate” attention on their work relative to the rest of the community, might decide to go the “Sensationalism” route and force attention their way and I guess that’s what’s offensive and disappointing to me, there’s potentially a lack of sincerity it just seems like an underhanded, needy way to try to get attention. Obviously your saying one thing, but the image is saying something all together different.
I love this image and it is my screen saver. I wasnt offended at all. I was inspired. The last thought on my mind was narcissism. If lodenfactory’s sole purpose was to bring attention to himself it wouldnt have come out looking so well. People that attract attention to themselves by being obnoxious through art really arent that good. Thats the reason they have to be obnoxious.
There is clearly technique, imagination and style within this sculpt. What else do you need? Censorship? Telling someone they cant or shouldnt sculpt something or calling someone a freak is much more offensive than a male sex organ that has been pierced.

After reading nearly every single post an reply, how gratiously and humble all of the artists responses have been, and most importantly how incredibly skillfully modeled this character is…i come to the bashing here at the end, and im sorry but to hear it coming from someone who probubly fancies himself and artist as well. Yet his closed mind, and possibly his own inner demons have caused him to focus, on an allthough incredibely modeled and demonic phallic(yes thats a compliment:D), and even worse lable the rest of us to be expected to do the same. No im sorry sir but even though you may be hung up on this organ it should not even come clsoe to be the final thing you are inspecting.
Cry for attention? Desperate need to bring attention to himself and his art??..are you serious? That is pure raw unbrideled talent, not only is it modled incredibly well its compleatly beliveable. the anotmy is bizzare yet instead of wondering if it would work properly the only thing i want is to hear it try and talk threw the neck.(neck,chains.
favorite parts btw) when i first saw this character it was floored while greatly amused by the pen*s the true character and emotion captured in this piece is what will always stay with me.

Nice work! lol the huge pecker reminds me of an african legand adout a small man with a larg pecker slung over his sholder called the Tokalosh, he suposedly steels women at night and takes tem to his master, so now all the xhosa and Zulu women put there beds on bricks so they cant get kidnaped cause the bed is to high for the Tokalosh lol. maybe that legend will give u insparation for a new project

I think this has to be my favorite model so far, i think its controversial, creative and a well thought out peice. not many people have the daring approach for explict nude peices, but i think its great and is not done enough! reminds me of hans bellmer work, he also did designs for silent hill.keep it up i lok forward to seeing your future work
Just wanted to thank you guys, all your positive feedbacks really keep up my motivation for doing more and better models.I’m working hard to finish my reel so hope to finish it soon (I know it will takes ages 'cause I’m very picky about my models like everyone I think, but I try to be optimistic). Sometimes for me it’s just hard to get the right feeling with the model I’m sculpting while sometimes it’s love at first sight I’m sure that the viewers can perceive this… sculpting with inspiration is a great thing, too bad isn’t always like that
