Hi there. I need to render stuff out from Zbrush for large format printing. 5’x3’ at 300dpi is 18000x10800 pixels but the maximum Zbrush allows is only 8000x8000.
Can someone suggest a solution or workaround for this? Thanks!

This isn’t really a solution to your question but it could be a solution.
How close is the poster going to be viewed at? At that size I imagine the viewers won’t be closer than 5-10 ft. I had to render a similar sized poster once about 6’ x 2’ @ 300 dpi. It would have taken a long time to render and the project was already in a time crunch. Instead I rendered out at about 100 or 150 dpi and then increased the image in Photoshop to 300 dpi. Print turned out great and the client was very happy. The poster was being used for a trade show and it wouldn’t be viewed any closer than 5’ at the very most. Even up close it looked great.
You could decrease the dpi rendering which will also help with rendering times and do a test print page of 8.5 x 11 or 11x17. Step back to about where the viewers will most likely be and see if it looks good. At that viewing distance you won’t see a difference between 100 and 300 dpi.
So it might not be a solution, but it might be.
