Rendering a large image of my work

Hey guys!

As you may already thought I am quite new to ZBrush and I am trying to export a large image of my recent work to Photoshop. I tried to resize it over “Document” and simly doubled the resolution twice but when i open it in Photoshop my model is still pretty small with a large empty area around it.

Were is the fault?
I would be really happy if anyone got an idea ;).

regards

You need to draw on the document after you’ve set the size. And remember that the viewport only shows the portion of the canvas that will fit; it’s fully possible to have a lot of space off-screen. The renderer will always render the entire canvas, including anything that’s not on-screen.

What you can do is zoom out (using the Zoom palette) so that you can see the whole canvas. Then draw what you want on it. You can then return to normal zooming to add any additional details you might want to parts of the document before finally doing a render.

Hi aurick!

Thank you very much, the zoom was the trick for a higher resolution but my model was in the center of the canvas and when i export it to Photoshop its not in the same position as in ZBrush. So there are still differences between what i see and what i get as an exported image.

That sounds like you’re not zooming out enough. In order to be sure of the position on the canvas you must be able to see the entire canvas.

No, i can see the whole canvas. :S

Katso,

Here is a little plugin that you might find useful when dealing with large scale canvases:
