removing polypaint?

Hello, I have a subtool that at some point I did a color fill with the color white. Now when I change the color on my shader that particular subtool will not respect the shader color. I’m fairly certain I need to remove the poly paint information from that subtool to fix this. I’m sure I am missing something, but I just can’t seem to find an answer for this. Can anyone tell me how to remove polypaint from an object? I haven’t used zBrush in years, so pardon my ignorance!

Thanks for the response Doug. I’m still not certain this solves my problem though. I have found that by turning the “colorize” button in the polypaint menu to the off position that the model will now respect my color selection in the shader. So that visually fixes the issue for me. However, I still know in the back of my head that their is paint applied to the polys. I guess it’s not a big deal, but it bothers me that I can’t remove the information from my model. I appreciate the help though, there are a few things in that thread that I think will help me later on.

Switch to the standard brush.
Turn on MRGB.
Select Material: Flat Color under the Standard Materials
Select White color
Click on Color -> Fill Object

This will erase all polypaint color and material. Note that if you’re using layers those may contain polypaint information as well. To fix coloring on layers you can split a layer from its color and sculpting info. This is done with the Tool -> Layers -> Split Layer selection. Then you just delete the layer containing the polypaint info while keeping the sculpting layer.

Thanks Mental I’ll give that a try!
