Remove Redwax

I know there has been a ton of threads on this, but I can’t find any with a search through ZBC or through Google.

I would like to never, ever see the hideous matcap ever again. It has something to do with over writing the startup document (i think), but I can’t find it to overwrite it. It might also be as simple as running a macro at start up too, but I’m not sure.

If anyone knows how, and would like to share that would be “winning”.

Its pretty simple to add or remove matcaps. Go to your program files-pixologic-zbrush-zdata-materials-matcap. Find which one you want to delete or copy one and drop it in this folder to add. “Epic Winning”

Actually, the contents of the ZData folder should NEVER be modified. ZBrush is programmed with the expectation that this data will be there. Modifying or removing anything from this directory can destabilize ZBrush.

Aurick. I am aware of this. I’ve been a member for quite a while now, just changed my user name. Now I am a ninja troll

But that still doesn’t say how to make it so redwax isn’t the default material. Maybe I should have actually stated that in the original message.

How do I make a different material as my default, start up material?
