Remap UV

Hello everyone ,

I am a beginner with Zbrush and have some questions about the UV map .
For example if I have a model with a texture and a UV map that was exported from another program which I can not control the way UV map was wrapped because was automatically done from that program .
I want that the previous UV map to Unwrap it in a more regular way so I can make some adjustments using Photoshop etc…
Is there a way to transfer the texture from an old UV Map to a new one without loosing quality?

depends on the size of the texture. Zbrush will most likely fail attempting to transfer a 32k texture from one mesh to another without loss of detail.

You can rework the whole thing, geo, UVs, etc.

Then you need to reproject all your details back on. This can be done in any application that can bake or using project all in Zbrush.

Textures need to be converted to polypaint before projection to transfer that information.
