Hello all, that’s my first attempt to this thread (and first post here too ).Merci Pilou pour ce links
.
Ok i’ve been working on an existing painting by “Dubuffet” (normal i’m french ).
I have just “touch” at photoshop for the level and contrast but all painting are working on ArtRage, Comments are welcome and LONG LIFE AT ZBrush!!!I’ll hope you like it!! Cu all
And this is the original painting :
And here this is a speed session (i hate speed session but…anyway)for this one.
This is a self_portrait be lenient please.
Super cool try
Very pleasant isn’t It?
Pilou
Ah! La peinturlure !
Yea, super pleasant. that give me again the desire for painting on real fabric. 20/20 for this incredible software.
Cu later for for over painting
Astonishing program, thanks for the link Pilou. I haven’t succeeded to do anything watchable with the oil tool yet, but I like the realistic feel of it. It’s tremendous for pencil sketch though, and here’s my first try at it.
Here is a color version but done in Sketchbook. I think ArtRage could be a can’t live without prog if it had options like colour picker, layers and tools opacity. But then I guess it would be a different purpose prog. and perhaps not free anymore…
Hi Théo
Cool “try” of the pencil tool
Something you must understand
It’s a try to simulate real painting
So in real painting you have not picker color, layers, etc…
If you want a color you must make a “mix” on the border of the painting as in reality on the palette
Following my new relaxe
Have happy painting!
Pilou vincent
Ps Ears problem of course
Hi Pilou,
Yes, it crossed my mind that it was intentional not to have these options to keep the tool as close to the real thing as possible. It’s indeed very good at it, but once you get used to all these facilities digital art is offering in other apps, it’s not so easy to go back to something that close to oil painting.
So as you say, using it is relaxing and one can can always be surprised with the results!
Wouhawouhawouha great pencil today .
ok let’s go to nude model from a photographs by Mister Klint Happy ArtRage at all. cu later
Hi Maya4fun, I like the texture and graphical result you achieved on your Dubuffet painting. It’s very oilpainting like. congratulation! The last one is good too although I don’t know the original reference you mention.
Beau travail!
A plus,
Théo
Thank you Théo :o
I take the original version. For the history, it’s not a photographs by Klint but it’s by Diego Merino my punts excuses…
I have not using a “tracing” for this one but for “Dubuffet” yes and a little pass on “toshop” for a multiple sleep of white and orange.
A use of the oilpainting tools in Artrage.
I’m not very happy with the colors yet, but
it’s a first quick attempt at it. The best part is that I’m getting used to the interface. The next ones will hopefully be better.
Thanks for stopping by,
Théo
