Reimporting higher subdivision

hey guys.
I´ve got a zbrush tool.
I exported level 0 imported in maya
then i subdivided the mesh in maya twice
stepped up to levels in Zbrush
and reimported the smoother mesh.
no error message on import, but as soon as I step up one level the whole mesh explodes as if the vertices couldnt find their appropriate higher subdivision positions anymore

is there any way to do this right?

zbrush and maya will never assign the same vert order when subdividing. so your mesh will always explode if you try to subdivide them in different programs

to better explain…you’re doing apples to oranges here.

maya lvl 0 = A – zbrush lvl 0 = A
maya lvl 3 = B – zbrush lvl 3 = C

B is not equal to C

To fix the problem…why not just export out level 2 from Zbrush and import that into Maya? Basically…i don’t understand why you would export out of Zbrush, to subD in Maya, to take back into Zbrush.
