ReImporting a fixed UV back into ZBrush

So i have my uv’s perfectly layed out. Well, at least i thought i did. Turns out there’s an imperfection in the UV causing a noticeable line down middle of my characters forehead.

SO, what i would like to do is, export the ZBrush model (at it’s lowest level ofcourse), fix the uv’s in MAX. export back out from MAX. disable my uv’s in ZBrush and reimport the new UV setup.

I would like to think that ZBrush could do that. But so far i have been completely unsuccessful.

Now the FIXED uv’s import just fine and it does seem to work in at the lowest level. BUT, when i set it to the highest level, it freaks out and messes everything up.

??

Is this possible? Am i doing something wrong? I’ve read a number of forums and can’t seam to get a straight answer to this problem.

It just seems like an obvious necessity for a smooth/easy going work flow.

Do i have to re-sculpt my model?

Anyone?

Something has changed the point order of your model.

If I remember right, one thing that some Max users have said works is to export from ZBrush and then immediately import the OBJ back into level 1. Then export again.

Otherwise, make sure that none of your Import/Export settings in Max change the point order.
