Reimport Mesh on High Detailed skulpt

Hello,

I need some help or at least some thoughts in solving my problem

I have a sculpted a head model. Its about 48 millions of polys with highest subdivision on level 7.
The problem is that I need to add Ear Sockets to it. When I reimport new base model on level 1 ZBrush crashed during reprojection every time. Then i try a trick with a TPoseMesh and TPoseSub, it allows me reimport modified model at least but due to a new vertices and vertex count it looks like a mess.

I’ve polygrouped a model, group split it, got my Ear Sockets and reimport it, but then those pieces have a slightly blurred and jagged edges, Projection method also gives not the best results on edges and on a mesh to .

Is it possible to somehow reimport the hole modified model? Also exporting map for just one piece is easier. My current machine have 40 Gb of RAM.

Your best bet is to export out your low, make your geo changes, import your new low as a new mesh (don’t override the old).
SubD up that new mesh and do a project all at each new subD level.
Clean up any projection errors.

Also, 48 million points for a single head is ton. That is way beyond micro pore level details.
