Reimport Crash From Max 8

Hey guys,

I’m currently using Max 8 at my job as well as ZBrush 3.5. When I export a basemesh from ZBrush to Max for some minor topology revisions (edgeloops/extrusions), ZBrush crashes apon reimport. It asks me if I would like to reproject my hires details to my new mesh, I say yes, and then it spends a couple seconds loading the new .obj, and then crashes. I also have the gwObj plug in for max, which helped with import/export issues back in the day.

What’s also interesting is that if I import and export the basemesh out of Max with no changes at all, ZBrush still tells me the topology has changed and askss me if I want to transfer details etc.

So there is something funky going on with the Max 8 export, even when using the gwObj plug in. I’ll have to play with this some more later, but in the meantime, if anyone has any suggestions or ideas, I’d appreciate them.
