Hi zbrush. 
I’m just wondering if every Zbrush upgrade is free. And if there are some other fees after you paid for the software.

The upgrade to version 4 is free for current users. There is no guarantee that upgrades to future releases will also be free. Once you have bought it there are no additional fees to use the version you have as long as you wish.

I guess I will wait to with buying zbrush until the end of my studies then.
There is nothing guaranteed but there have been free upgrades from at least version 2 which was over 5 years ago.

The first commercial version of ZBrush was version 0.95 and was released on December 8, 1999.
Since then, ALL ZBrush upgrades were free of charge.
This means 10 years of free ZBrush upgrades!
For which we are all very, very, very grateful.
pretty cool read that kind of info. 0.95!! wow, so the very very first release, was the version 0.1, or 0.10 or something like that?
wow that seems awesome, I guess it might be worth the risk then.
