Reflections in texture map

Hi everyone,

Could someone help me out with this problem please…

I’ve finished a character and need to create the texture and displacement maps but when I create the texture map I get reflections of the iner throat on the chin.

I made the base mesh in 3DS and put the polly the wrong way round over the whole body. So I had to put (Double) on in the Display Properties.

Does anyone know the setting to fix this problem, it would be much appreciated…

You can flip the polygons on your model by pressing Tool>Display Properties>Flip. You shouldn’t then need to have ‘Double’ switched on. However, what you describe might be to do with how you have laid out your UVs. A picture would help see the problem…

Thanks for that tried but did not work the pollys went all over the place.

I had to put the uv’s on the inside of the mesh in 3ds because of the directions the pollys face.

You can see the reflections on the chin, nose and side of the eyes.
