Recreate MatCap in Cinema 4D?

I’m curious if there’s a good way to recreate the sketch toy plastic matcap in cinema 4D?

It’s a really interesting shader that I just can’t seem to replicate properly…

look at the ZClassroom. there’s a video on applying zbrush materials to a mesh. I don’t think there’s a direct way of adding a zbrush material to your proggy since the info in a zbrush material includes light simulation, ambience etc etc etc.

There is a very old plugin for Lightwave called G2 that can do the same thing as matcap. It may even predate ZBrush matcap. I can’t see why a similar shader couldn’t be written for Cinema 4D.

I’m fairly new to Cinema so maybe there is something out there already???
